Ormston Hall Men's Residence Photograph Collection

Ormston Hall Resident Men Go Digital

This collection contains annual Christmas photographs from the 1988-1989 class residents through the final resident class of 2017-2018.
Built in 1947 as a residential dormitory for men, occupied in 1948, a snack bar installed in the basement in 1949, Ormston Hall housed campus men for over 70 years. In 2018, Ormston Hall Resident Men vacated the building for summer break for the very last time. Administrative  offices are now in this building.
Ormston Hall Resident Men are a unique group of men according to Library Director Robbie Bolton (’98), Ormston Hall resident (1994-1998) and Resident Director (2002-2009). Before leaving for Christmas break, these men performed a “rousing rendition of Good King Wenceslas”, says Robbie Bolton (’98).

COLLECTION DISCLAIMER

Even though it is the belief that the majority of persons in the photographs are Ormston Men, there may be an occasion that a non-Ormston resident is included.  Not all Ormston Men residents are pictured.  The resident lists attached to the photographs may or may not be complete or reflective of those pictured.  The criteria for these lists are Ormston graduates that lived in Ormston during their tenure at Spring Arbor University.
