  • Picture books
  • Oversize picture books ("Big Books".  Great for story time!)
  • Non-fiction books
  • Reference (encyclopedias & dictionaries)
  • Biography
  • Teaching Materials (including manipulatives & textbooks)

Chapter books and picture books are shelved alphabetically by author's last name. Non-fiction and Reference books are shelved in Dewey call number order by subject. Biography books are shelved alphabetically by the subject's name ("L" for Lincoln).
