Borrowing White Library: Curbside Pick-up

Summer book request pick-up

Book requests and pick-up options.

Step 1.  Place a "hold" on SAU library books or use Worldcat to request books from other libraries.  MeLCat is temporarily unavailable.

Step 2.  You will receive an email when your items are ready for pick-up

Step 3.  Follow the instructions in the email to choose your pick-up location preference and time.

  • Library building hours: 9am - 1pm Monday - Friday.   Pick-up library material at the Circulation Desk.
  • Curbside pick-up: 2pm - 5pm Monday - Thursday.  Library staff will deliver your books to you curbside.
  • Lobby pick-up: After 5pm, Monday - Thursday.  Pick-up library holds after hours in the library lobby.

Requesting SAU library books

1. Start your search in the library catalog.

2. When you find an item you want to borrow, select "Request".

3. Enter your name and 6-digit SAU ID#

4.  Then select "Pick up at White Library"

5.  Library staff will contact you by email when your items are ready.  The email will include instructions for choosing a pick-up time and location.

Requesting books from other libraries

1. Start your search in Worldcat.

2. When you find an item you want to borrow, click on the title.

3. Then select "Get this for me!"

4. Fill out the Worldcat request form.  Books typically take 5-10 business days to arrive from other libraries.

5. Library staff will contact you by email when your items are ready.  The email will include instructions for choosing a pick-up time and location.
