Headphones, Chargers & Adapters

COVID-19 UPDATE:  Headphones are not currently available for check-out.  Other equipment like chargers and extension chords are still available.

Available at the library Circulation Desk:

Other equipment available:

  • extension cords
  • HDMI cords
  • Ethernet cords

Headphone & Charger Borrowing Policies:

  • Items must remain in the library.
  • Only current SAU students or employees may borrow these items.
  • An SAU or photo ID is required to borrow these items.
  • The borrower’s ID will be kept at the Circulation Desk until the item is returned.
  • Items are loaned for a maximum of three hours.
  • Fees are assessed on a case-by-case basis for any damages

Laptops

Borrowing Library Laptops

White Library provides laptops for SAU students for use within the library.

SAU faculty & staff may reserve library laptops for use outside of the library with prior approval by Kelly Baker or Kami Moyer.  Laptop reservations should be made at least 2-3 days prior to the date/time the laptop is needed.

Borrower Requirements

  • Only current SAU students or employees with no outstanding fines may borrow laptops.
  • Laptops must be checked-out in person by the individual using the laptop. A current SAU student or employee ID card is required to check out a laptop. If the borrower is an Online or Distance student with no SAU Photo ID, some other photo ID (such as a Driver’s License) is required.
  • A Library Laptop Borrower Agreement must be completed and signed each time a laptop is checked-out and checked-in. The borrower is responsible for the cost of repairs or replacement if damaged or lost.
  • The borrower’s ID will be kept at the Circulation Desk while the laptop is checked-out (In-library, 3-hour loans only).
  • Upon returning the laptop, the borrower must wait at the Circulation Desk while the laptop is checked in. (Approximately 10 minutes.)

Loan Periods

  • Laptops may be checked-out for 1 (one) 3 hour period per day.
  • Laptops must be returned 1 hour before the Library closes.

Fines & Fees

  • $5.00 overdue fee for laptops returned more than 10 minutes late.
  • Minimum $500.00 replacement charge for lost or damaged laptops.

  • Contact Kelly Baker at the Circulation Desk to reserve a laptop.  Email kelly.baker@arbor.edu or call 517-750-6442.
  • Only faculty and staff may reserve a laptop.
  • Laptop reservations should be made at least 2-3 days prior to the date/time the laptop is needed.

Vinyl Record Player and more...

Vinyl records, the portable record player, cassette player and CD player can be borrowed for 2-3 weeks.  See the library Circulation Desk for more info.
